Legal Counsel - Warwickshire - Hybrid - circa 1 day per week - Full or Part Time
Our client has a super newly created opportunity for an in-house lawyer to join their Legal team in a national logistics business - locations UK wide but this role would need someone circa 1 day a week (flex) in the Midlands (East or West Mids commutable - Warwicks border).
We could consider a part-time 3 day a week more experienced lawyer, or a less experienced lawyer who would work full time. The role and business would suit someone who is a roll your sleeves up and hit the ground running type. Naturally, for someone with less experience, there is greater support from the General Counsel and another experienced Senior Legal Counsel.
A super varied, broad in-house role where work can include:
- commercial contracts (customer contracts, procurement, NDAs, supplier contracts) comprising around 60-70% of the work
- IT (SaaS, cloud services, software development)
- data protection
- disputes
- possibly some strategic exposure on M&A and projects
- potential for property management work
- co-sec support
This role would suit someone who can hold their own with MDs and operational leaders and is comfortable building relationships across a business, making commercial decisions with confidence. Sector wise, some someone with experience in any of logistics, manufacturing, retail or similar sectors with experience of working with a range of stakeholders would likely fit well.
Rare part-time role c 3 days pw with 1 day (potential flex on the frequency depending on candidate location) in the office OR a full time role for someone less experienced.
