We are exclusively partnering with a highly regarded and fast-paced global automotive business seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel/Senior Legal Counsel to join its collaborative in-house legal team and fabulous GC!

This is a broad and varied role offering exposure to commercial contracts, corporate transactions and strategic business projects within a dynamic operational environment. The position would suit a lawyer who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, managing a varied workload and taking a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to legal support.

The role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their in-house experience and further develop exposure to transactional and corporate matters.

The Role

Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements
  • Supporting transactional activity including acquisitions, disposals and strategic business projects
  • Coordinating with external counsel on corporate and transactional matters
  • Managing legal workstreams and supporting cross-functional project delivery
  • Advising the business on day-to-day commercial legal issues and risk management

  • Working collaboratively with compliance, operational and commercial teams

About You

We are keen to speak with lawyers who can demonstrate:

  • Strong commercial contracts experience gained in-house or in private practice
  • A broad commercial mindset and a pragmatic approach to legal support
  • Exposure to corporate transactions, M&A or project-based work would be beneficial, but is not essential
  • An interest in developing further exposure to transactional work
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to operate confidently within a fast-moving business environment

Experience within a regulated environment or operationally complex business would be advantageous but is not required.

Why Apply?

The business offers a collaborative culture, genuine variety and the opportunity to develop your in-house career within a commercially driven environment.
